firework 2016

Remember, remember, the fifth of November will soon be upon us once again.

With fireworks displays throughout the nation the UK is set a light every year on the 5th of November to celebrate Bonfire (Guy Fawkes) night. With so many impressive displays to catch you are likely to find one close to you this Autumn. We have compiled a short list of some of the biggest and best fireworks shows not to miss this year.

Edinburgh

For over 30 years Edinburgh has been remembering the 5 of November with its annual fireworks display.

The theme of the display this year  is Sci-Fi. A great excuse for the whole family to break out the Star Wars costumes and is sure to be something the whole family can enjoy.

Fireworks begin at 7.30pm at the Meadow Bank Sports Centre. There is pre-show entertainment from 6.30pm. Doors open at 6pm on Saturday 5 November and entry is £7.

Cardiff

The biggest display in all of Wales is “Sparks in the Park” in Cardiff. It has also been operating for the last 30 years, experiencing ever-increasing demand from the public. This has led to this years show becoming ticketed for the first time. Tickets are £10 and all the proceeds go to charity.

The bonfire will begin at 6.15pm, with the main fireworks starting at 7pm.

London

Although London is home to the the most firework displays in the UK on Bonfire night but our pick is Battersea park. A great night for families and friends, with lots of entertainment and fun. This year’s display will be set to music made by legends, fired by the award-winning Jubilee Fireworks and hosted by Christian Williams, Radio Presenter for Virgin Radio UK.

Tickets are £10 and children under 10 years of age go free. It definitely goes down as one of the highlights of the year.

Manchester

Manchester also hosts many displays across the city. Our pick is Heaton Park. The bonfire is due to be lit at 7:30pm and is followed soon after by a fantastic fireworks display. There is free entry and there is also a funfair running from 5pm until 9:30pm.
