St Andrew’s Day is celebrated on the feast day of St Andrew (November 30th). Durham city Durham is a city of roughly 50,000 people and is located on the Northern East Coast of England, which is about 3 hours away from London by train and two hours from Edinburg. You can also easily reach Durham by motorhome or campervan, no matter where you are in the UK, giving you the freedom to stop anywhere along the way and even the option to bring your pets along should you wish to! Once in Durham, public transport is available to reach the city centre with the ‘hop-on, hop-off’ Cathedral bus, which connects the train station and the Cathedral of Durham.
