The Château de Villandry is located 10 kilometres away from Langeais to the East. Lively and colorful gardens, architecture from the Renaissance  and some surprise await you for their 500th birthday.

4/ Le Château de Valençay

Located about forty kilometres away from Bourges, the lands of the Château de Valençay. Covering an area of 50 hectares, this place decorated with sumptuous garden has been declared historic monument in 1992.

According to the rumours, the furnitures, the paintings and the interior layout give the feeling that the castle is still inhabited. What do you think about it ?

5/ Le Château de Chambord

A few kilometres up North, we can find the Château de Chambord. This edifice has been considered like a masterpiece as the years went by.

How so? Maybe thanks to its rich history, its luxury rooms  or its forest park which one of the biggest in Europe.

6/ Le Château de Blois

Almost fifteen kilometres away from Chambord is located the château de Blois.

Did you know that this castle had been an all time French kings favorite ?

7/ Le Château de Cheverny

Finally, we advise you to visit the Château de Cheverny. The domain is passed on to the family children and the interior is full of surprises.

To be honest with you, we have chosen to end this list with this edifice because it is the one that inspired Hergé , the cartoonist who created Tintin, to build the “château de Moulinsart. Comic trips enthusiasts will discover more than 700m² dedicated to the universe of the famous character and his fellow.

It is quite hard for us to guess where you will be sleeping once the night comes, so we advise you to spot the places where you can park via Caramaps.
