About Cornwall

Located in South West England, Cornwall sports hundreds of miles of dazzling coastline. Dunes, cliffs and quaint harbours define this popular British country. Cornwall is a top destination for campervanning as you can easily explore the coast line and get closer to the action. If you don’t own a leisure vehicle why not hire a campervan and visit Cornwall. Cornwall has become a huge draw for surfers, despite it’s cold waters, and is one of England’s sunniest counties, clocking in an average of 1,500 sunshine hours a year.

When to travel in Cornwall?

Spring tends to come early in Cornwall with Daffodils normally blooming in January. The best time to visit is in June and July where you can expect the least rain and warmer conditions but average temperature rarely sours over 20 degrees. While travelling in North Cornwall in the summer months you may wish to cool off during an afternoon in the sun. The Bude Sea Pool is the perfect spot for a splash. It’s a part-natural, part man-made tidal swimming pool and major feature of this popular seaside town in North Cornwall. It was constructed in the 1930s so residents would have a safe place to bath sheltered from wild atlantic currents that plague the bay.The pool offers lots of space for serious swimmers or for paddlers and is open throughout the year for free!

Minack Theatre - Porthcumo

The Minack Theatre is a beautiful and dramatic structure carved into the cliffs at Pothcumo. This location hosts unique open-air concerts and plays from May to September. It’s a must see if you are in this area during the summer months. The setting on the cliff face is amazing setting with a large but intimate amphitheatre. Breathtaking views to the sea and rocks lie below.

Land’s End - Penzance

Located at the westernmost point of Cornwall, Land’s End has had some of it’s charm eroded over recent years due to its popularity as a tourist destination. If you can ignore some of the tacky tousty features, the natural view is still sure to wow visitors. The beautiful scenery of Land's End has secured it as one of Britain's favourite destinations for days out over the years.
